remix is a meme launchpad on pump.fun. every meme is a coin. a remix is a new coin priced in the meme it copies, and it sends the original’s creator a cut of its fees. pump.fun locks that cut the moment the remix launches.
it’s built on two pump.fun features: custom pairs (a coin can trade against another pump.fun coin instead of SOL, up to two levels deep) and creator fee sharing (a coin’s creator fees can be split between wallets, set once). remix doesn’t deploy its own program and never holds anyone’s money.

the three levels
$REMIX paired with SOL
└─ og priced in $REMIX
└─ remix priced in its og · pays the og 10–50% of its creator fees- $REMIX is the root coin. it trades against SOL like any pump.fun coin.
- an og is an original meme. it trades against $REMIX.
- a remix is a copy of an og: new text, stickers, a drawing on top. it trades against its og.
pump.fun allows two levels of pairing, so a remix can’t be remixed again. to remix a remix, post it as its own og.
post an og
- pick a picture. upload one (png, jpg, webp or gif, up to 2.5 MB), start from a classic, or paste a coin’s contract address to bring in its picture, name and ticker from dexscreener.
- make it yours. text boxes anywhere (as many as you like, any size, colour and angle), your own images on top, built-in stickers (shades, crown, party hat, sword, laser eyes, sold stamp), a pen, or a plain background. drag a layer to move it; drag its pink corner to size and turn it.
- name it. a name (up to 32 characters), a ticker (up to 10 letters and numbers) and an optional description.
- first buy. optional, in SOL. it’s the first buy on your coin, the same as on a normal pump.fun launch.
- launch. you approve everything in your own wallet. pump.fun charges its usual launch fee.
remix saves the og’s layers (the clean picture, every text box, sticker and image). anyone who remixes it starts from the clean picture with every layer still editable.
remix a meme
open any og and press remix it. the editor opens on the og’s picture with all its layers. change anything: move, edit or delete its layers, add your own text and images, or replace the picture entirely (upload one, or paste any coin’s contract address). whatever it looks like, it still trades against the og and pays it the cut. pick the cut, name it and launch.
your remix is a normal pump.fun coin. it just trades against the og instead of SOL, and part of its creator fees goes to whoever posted the og.
the cut
- you choose 10%, 20%, 25%, 30% or 50%. the default is 25%.
- the cut comes out of the remix’s creator fees, not out of anyone’s trade. buyers pay the same fees as on any pump.fun coin.
- it’s set with pump.fun’s own fee sharing, which can only be set once. after launch nobody can change it: not you, not the og, not remix.
- the remix’s creator keeps the rest.
- remixing your own og has no cut. you’d only be paying yourself.
buying
a remix is priced in its og, and an og is priced in $REMIX. so a SOL buy of a remix goes:
SOL → $REMIX → og → remix
each step is a real buy. buying a remix buys some of its og and some $REMIX on the way. that’s what ties a family together: a hot remix pushes up the og it copies.
you buy on pump.fun itself. every coin page on remix has a buy on pump.fun link, and any app that supports pump.fun custom pairs works too. this holds after a coin graduates to pumpswap as well.
payouts
- a remix’s creator fees build up as it trades.
- they’re paid out when someone sends them. on the remix’s page, pay [og] its cut now appears once fees are waiting. anyone can press it. whoever does pays the small network fee.
- pump.fun pays the split: the og’s creator gets their cut and the remix’s creator gets the rest, in the same transaction.
- payouts are in the coin the remix trades against, which is the og’s own coin. remix shows their value in SOL.
- every payout is listed on the remix’s page, and the latest ones run along the top of the wall.
who earns what
| who | gets | paid in |
|---|---|---|
| og creator | the og’s own creator fees, plus the cut from every remix of it | $REMIX, and the og’s coin |
| remix creator | the remix’s creator fees, minus the cut | the og’s coin |
| holders | whatever the market does. remix buys flow up into the og and $REMIX | n/a |
| remix | nothing. remix takes no fee on launches or trades | n/a |
what you sign
a launch is up to four transactions, all approved in one wallet prompt:
- create the coin on pump.fun, priced in $REMIX (an og) or in its og (a remix)
- lock the cut (remixes only): sets the creator fee split
- first buy, 1 of 2 (optional): SOL into the coin you’re priced in
- first buy, 2 of 2 (optional): that coin into yours
remix’s server builds these and sends them to the network once you’ve signed. it only accepts back the exact transactions it built, and a prepared launch expires after 5 minutes. if the first one fails, nothing is created.
coins launched elsewhere
remix reads the chain, not just its own site. any pump.fun coin priced in $REMIX shows up as an og, and any coin priced in an og shows up as a remix, wherever it was launched. a remix launched outside remix without a fee split shows as no cut.
what remix can and can’t do
| can’t | move your money, hold funds, or sign for you |
| can’t | change a cut after launch. pump.fun enforces it |
| can’t | stop a coin from trading. every coin is a normal pump.fun coin |
| can | hide a coin from this site after a report (stolen art, hateful, a scam). it still exists and trades on pump.fun |
| can | host each coin’s picture and details, which is where the coin’s metadata points |
limits
- two levels only: you can remix an og, not a remix.
- you can only remix ogs that are on remix.
- pictures: png, jpg, webp or gif, up to 2.5 MB.
- first buy: up to 5 SOL.
- until $REMIX launches, the site is in preview: you can look around, but launches are off.
faq
- do i need to hold $REMIX?
- no. buying an og or a remix with SOL routes through $REMIX for you.
- what if someone copies my meme without remix?
- if they price it in your og, it shows up in your family. it only pays you if they set a split, and copies launched through remix always do.
- does the og creator need to do anything to get paid?
- no. the cut goes to the wallet that posted the og. anyone can press pay out, including the og creator.
- what happens when a coin graduates?
- it moves to pumpswap like any pump.fun coin. prices, buys and payouts keep working.
- is this a pump.fun product?
- no. remix is built on pump.fun’s public features. coins live on pump.fun.
